To PEE or Not to PEE!

Like most folks in this country, I have a job.

I work, they pay me.

I pay my taxes & the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.

In order to get that paycheck, in my case, I am required to pass a random urine test (with which I have no problem).

So, here is my question: Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their BUTT ---- doing drugs while I work.

Can you imagine how much money each state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?
We could call the program
"URINE OR YOU'RE OUT"!

P.S. Just a thought, all politicians should have to pass a urine test too!

RE: "helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their BUTT"

And, what's up with Welfare, Department of Human Services, & other State funded programs that are set up to aid people in need??? From my experience, they have NOT been very helpful at all in assisting people to get "back on their feet" at all! It seems it is their goal to keep the poor squashed down under the government's giant ass thumb!!!

For instance, I'm struggling and on assistance due to difficulties I experiences from a head injury and Bipolar. I want VERY much to "get on my feet"! But, I have not been able to because I have to spend all of the little bit of money I get each month on food and bills. By the time everything is paid up, I have to scrape by for food, gas, clothes, Mikayla's school supplies, etc... But, Mikayla & I can't get health insurance because S.S. Disability pays me SIXTEEN DOLLARS over the limit for it. And, we can't get help with our groceries because I get SIX DOLLARS over the limit! I want to know how the heck I am supposed to "get back on my feet" when I can't afford to save any money... I struggle working part time and pay taxes to help make up a little extra money for those things. (It is not my intention to whine or make anyone feel sorry for me, I'm just sharing how it is for the honest people like me!)... See More

There's a lot of people on government assistance who are just ass (oops!) happy where they are. They have no desire to better themselves and move on with their lives, letting others who really need help have a chance to get it. If there is mandatory drug testing for all who search for (and for those who are already on) government assistance, MOST of those people would be unable to obstruct the way for us honest people!
